Will Murphy is the Assistant Head of School for Program, teacher, and running coach. After earning his BA in English from Christopher Newport University, he began his teaching career at Colegio Alpamayo, an all-boys independent school in Lima, Peru. During his eight years there, Will helped found the Middle School division and later served as Middle School Coordinator. He also worked as Associate Head of Studies and a college counselor. While in Lima, he studied in the Master in Educational Management program at the Universidad de Piura.

Will returned to the United States in 2019 and worked in the Washington, DC area as the English Language Program Manager at Rochambeau, The French International School of Washington, where he oversaw teaching and learning in English.

He currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Association for Middle Level Education and regularly presents nationally and internationally on effective school structures and programs for middle school students, with a particular focus on supporting middle school boys. He has also previously served on a committee for the International Boys’ Schools Coalition.

Will lives in Midlothian with his wife, three children, and their dog, Buddy.
