Tom O’Keefe is a native of Richmond who graduated from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts with a BFA in Filmmaking. In addition to his multiple teaching duties, Tom makes and researches film, animation, and illustration. Before coming to Seven Hills in 2008, Tom taught classes in Documentary Cinema and Film History at Richmond’s Trinity Episcopal School. He also brings experience in traditional studio arts, darkroom photography, and mixed media. Tom teaches all grade levels in the Seven Hills Visual Arts program, as well as teaching the Architecture seminar, and exploratory classes in Photography, Animation, and Advanced Filmmaking. He loves playing board and card games and serves as a sponsor for the school’s popular Game Club. Tom lives in Richmond with his wife and two kids.
