In her years as a teacher, Tess has taught several subjects yet found her niche in the realm of science. She earned her BS in Environmental Biology from Wingate University where she was also a varsity swimmer. With a special love of open water swimming, Tess’ longest swim to date was 36 miles in the Red River of the North between North Dakota and Minnesota. After earning a Master’s degree in Environmental Education and Conservation from Rowan University, Tess came to Seven Hills in 2008. She challenges herself to consistently find new and intriguing ways to teach science by blending her passion for aquatics and biology. As our Director of Activities including the infamous River Days, Tess is thrilled to organize field trips and encourages students to be active members of the Richmond community.
