After earning her degree in English and Creative Writing from VCU in 2024, Sofia took a leap of faith and accepted an English teaching position with Richmond Public Schools for her first job out of college. Sofia got lucky with her decision, and discovered a deep passion for education. That passion led her to discovering Seven Hills through a friend and former 7HS teacher. Seven Hills is a place that holds space for both her passion for teaching and all of her other passions, as varied as they may be. She especially enjoys the Friday programming, which has given her a chance to teach exploratories on vampires, yoga, pickleball, and calisthenics– just a few of those weird and varied passions. River Days have also made reality of a life-long dream of hers: to spend all 8 hours of the workday outside.
