Although a Richmond native, Ian recently moved back after living in Nashville, TN. For 10 years, Ian worked in engineering, technical sales, and energy management before rethinking his career and choosing to pursue his dream of becoming a teacher. Ian obtained his BS in Engineering from Virginia Tech with a minor in Business and a Master’s in Teaching at Trevecca Nazarene University. He loves all things nerdy, especially Star Wars and Spider-Man, and as an avid singer is currently seeking out a local church choir or band. Ian lives with his wife and dog Frodo in an older home where he is learning all sorts of small construction skills.
