Review: Super Mario Odyssey
By Arthur O.
What can you do to make one small step for Mario, but one giant leap for Mario games? Try playing Super Mario Odyssey. The game, I tell you, is worth it. It’s an ordinary 3D Mario game, with new abilities and never-seen-before new villains, and new roles to take on for the old ones. There’s also huge detail, new places, and super cool new obtainable stuff. The goal of the game is to rescue Princess Peach from Bowser, who is trying to perform a huge wedding with Peach on the Moon.
You’re supposed to travel from kingdom to kingdom, where Bowser’s quartet of evil rabbit wedding planners are stealing famous items. You’ll go exploring, find Power Moons to fuel your ship, The Odyssey, fight bosses, complete side quests, and capture creatures with your magic cap, Cappy.

I personally only have two complaints about the game. In some captured forms, you can’t jump, making it harder to do things. Also, in the final battle with Bowser, there are no things you can do to get hearts. Otherwise, I think the game is great. Super Mario Odyssey was the big new Mario game until Super Mario Wonder came out. But after playing it, you’d think Mario Wonder came first (it’s a platformer). Super Mario Odyssey is awesome.
