Jen Flack was born on an island north of Seattle, but grew up much farther inland on a horse farm outside Riley, Kansas. Her love of reading and running shown through at an early age. Jen enjoyed being homeschooled during middle school and most of high school before moving to Northern Virginia to finish her senior year at Thomas Edison High in Alexandria, Va. From there, she attended the University of Virginia where she majored in Kinesiology and ran cross country/track, setting the freshman 10k record in the spring of 2014. Flack continued her studies at UVa with a Masters in Exercise Physiology. After a year interning in Louisville, KY, Jen returned to Virginia, but set her sights on the capital of the Commonwealth, Richmond, just an hour down the road from her beloved Charlottesville. She has experience teaching and tutoring students from private and public schools around the city. In her free time, she loves riding horses and spending time with her yellow lab, Beau.
