At Seven Hills, we believe in the power of physical activity to build relationships and support student engagement. Recently recognized as Active RVA School of the Year by Sports Backers for our efforts, we encourage families to model active lifestyles and create opportunities for movement at home. By making physical activity a core part of daily life, we help students develop lifelong healthy habits.

During their middle school years, boys will start to interrogate their understanding of self in more complex ways. This time for self-discovery leads to new interests, new ways of interacting, and may create greater self-doubt. Often their concept of self is measured against their understanding of others and how they relate to the world. As they work on identifying themselves within different social situations, they use others around them as benchmarks to understand how effectively they are trying on their new identities.
