Parent Volunteer Organization (PVO)

The PVO at Seven Hills School is a voluntary group of parents, teachers, and staff that plays an active role in supporting the school and developing a closer relationship between a student’s home and his school. It helps parents, faculty, and staff cooperate, develop, and manage enrichment and social activities for the students, while providing an opportunity for the Seven Hills School community to come together, get to know one another, and work for the benefit of our students and school.

Its objectives are:

  • to encourage parents to take an active role in the school and their child’s class
  • to provide a positive place for communication between parents, staff and administration
  • to organize and provide support for fundraising activities
  • to assist with, and help plan school events
  • to provide enrichment opportunities for students for the improvement and development of the school

Meetings are usually held in Building D conference room on the far east side of campus, or in the Great Hall in Building C or the “main building.” Everyone is welcome to attend.

Becoming a member of this group makes it possible for you to make a difference in the quality of the school experience for your child and all of our students. Call our office or email admin@7hillsschool.org to get involved!

There are many different opportunities for parents to get involved in the 7HS community, whether you can spare a couple hours or make a regular commitment. Sign up for the opportunity that makes sense for you!

Share your love for Seven Hills School with prospective families! Parents on this team may be asked to participate in open houses or reach out to prospective families to answer questions about the school. Staff liaison: Drew Lineberger, dlineberger@7hillsschool.org

This team is completely organized and funded by Seven Hills Parents and is formed to provide thoughtful treats, meals, and much appreciated surprises to the Seven Hills faculty throughout the school year. Staff liaison: Emmy Woody, ewoody@7hillsschool.org

Be the communication leader for your class (much like a room parent). Duties may include sending out email reminders about fundraisers and special events and organizing parent meet-ups. Staff liaison: Emmy Woody, ewoody@7hillsschool.org

Students, families, teachers, and community members all come together the day before Thanksgiving break to feast together and listen to students and teachers reflect on what they are thankful for! This is truly one of the sweetest days of the Seven Hills year! We need parent volunteers to order the main dishes (paid for by the school), coordinate sign-ups for side dishes, decorate for the event, and clean up afterwards. This year we are swapping out our Grapes & Grains Gala for a new fundraiser: The Spring Music Festival. This is the first year that we are doing this event. We need volunteers to help plan EVERYTHING from contacting bands, food vendors, and local breweries, to managing ticket sales & security, to finding a small number of auction/raffle items and lining up corporate sponsorship. This will be a major undertaking, but will result in an amazing fundraising opportunity for Seven Hills. Staff liaison: Emmy Woody: ewoody@7hillsschool.org

Held in the spring each year, Founders’ Day is a free community event whose sole purpose is to celebrate the founding of this really, completely, totally cool place we call Seven Hills School. Parents can volunteer to set-up, serve food, and clean up. Staff liaison: Tess Andres: tandres@7hillsschool.org

We partner with local restaurants, shops, and entertainment venues throughout the year to raise money for our school! We’d love your support at these fundraisers.
