Applying to, and being accepted to high school is a year-long process.  At Seven Hills, we provide experienced counseling to our eighth graders and their families as they consider options for high school.  We also consider it our responsibility to provide leadership, coordination, and advocacy throughout the application process.

We are there with our students, side-by-side, as they complete second and third drafts of applications.  We help our boys prepare for interviews, and guide them in their decision making.

Finding the right learning environment for a young man can be challenging.  Seven Hills is an active partner in our students’ progression through the steps of evaluating their high school choices, and then in preparing their applications in the most positive, effective, and impressive way.

From 2008 through 2014, our 110 graduates have most regularly matriculated to the following schools:

  • Trinity Episcopal School – 14.5% of our graduates
  • Henrico and Chesterfield County Specialty Centers – 12.7% of our graduates
  • Open High School – 10.9% of our graduates
  • Appomattox Regional Governor’s School for the Arts and Technology – 9.1% of our graduates
  • Hanover High School – 8.2% of our graduates
  • Other Local Private High Schools – Benedictine, St. Christopher’s, Collegiate, and Steward – 5.5% of our graduates
  • Private Boarding Schools – Christchurch, Woodberry Forest, and Episcopal – 4.5% of our graduates
  • Richmond Community and Thomas Jefferson IB Program – 3.6% of our graduates
